So new and yet not so
So it again has been quite some time since I have had a chance to update my blog and there are some new things in my life that have made it interesting if nothing else...I am no longer single, I am technically employed (in a way)and I am about 2 1/2 months pregnant! Yeah the last one surprised me too but I guess my doc was wrong, I CAN still get pregnant! Proved him wrong lol
Anyways, I guess you can say I have some extremely mixed feelings about this pregnancy, for one it is my third and surely gonna be my last. Second, there were some not so nice things said to me about it when it was told to others, and third I am not sure what I am rooting for as far as the sex of the baby is. I know the father is silently hoping for a boy, but I don't know how I feel yet, it may be because I am so busy trying to figure out what the baby will let me eat without making me sick. The other thing that worries me is the lack of money I have...babies are even more expensive now than they were when I had my Mckenzee! I can't even imagine how hard this is going to be. especially with the father about to go to Washington to try to find work since he has some family out there willing to help him out. I hate that I am not going to have him here to go to appointment with me and be here when I find out what the sex is and who knows if he will even be back for the delivery...I am so scared it is not even funny...but I guess I can consider this a test of my own strength...if it doesn't kill me it SHOULD make me stronger right?! Isn't that how it goes...Although with the crap I have been through in my life I should be fricken SUPERWOMAN by now!
Well I guess we will see how it goes, one day at a time...baby steps ha ha ha ha ha .... more another time!

Long Time....a long long time...
Yes yes I know I haven't had the time or resources to update you on the world in which I live.
Honestly there is not too much new to tell you all...My little Mckenzee is a pre-schooler! One of the most adorable I have to say so myself! She is doing well in school the only exception being the shyness factor that she seems to have quite often.
Then of course there is my little man Andy...what can I say about Andy other then I wish I had more time with him than I do...his father is such a HUGE influence on the things he does that sometime he suppresses what I know would make him really happy because he is afraid his father will be mad or laugh at him...I dunno what to do about it but I guess only time will tell. I may take the time to sit with someone somewhere to talk to about it...maybe they can give me some advice on how to deal with approaching Jim cuz y'all know the trouble that causes!
Then I guess I should tell you about how I am now too....well in a word...lonely...the friends I have don't call or come by, I have no one to kiss as if it were my last kiss..(which from now on is the only way I am going to kiss) I am not feeling all the joy this time of year usually brings...but I am going to chin-up it and go on with my life...it can only get better....
So to all of you who do read my blog....Happy _HOLIDAYS/YULE/Kwanzaa/Chanukah and so on....I miss you all and hope sometime soon I can make regular updates!

Long Time No Write...
Since I am highly doubtful that any of you have truly missed the writing styles of me or knowing my updates on the family/job/fun front, I have decided that this first update for me since the issues with my spouse and me, will be about how I am doing and what I am doing to find the new me that I want to be for me and my kids!
Okay so as most of you already know I am now officially divorced as of the end of March, I am back to living at home which is not ideal but at this time is completely what I HAVE to do right now, (you all live in this economy tell me it's easy). I am also finding out that I am more than I thought I was, I am confident, I am cute, I am smart, I am talented, I am a good mom, and someday if I find the right person I will be the wife I should be, but now I am just me, and me is pretty awesome! Well that is all I have time to write for now so I will update again soon and hopefully you will all start reading me again!
Lots of love you to all!

Fall Fun Past and Soon!
| Andy and Kenzee 2008 |
Now that it is October, it is time for us to do all the things we normally do this time of year, which means pumpkin picking, scarecrow making, carving, baking goodies, etc.
In this entry today I am going to include pictures from the past few years of these activities. I love to look at them and see how the kids have changed and today it has inspired me to write about the fun!

Together Time and Tummyaches
| I MADE this dress! |
Anyone who was worried about me I THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart. I myself was a little scared and am not exactly happy to hear my only issue right now is Anemia. However at least I know that my fatigue and weakness has a reason other than my lack of sleep. I DO need to sleep better but I also need to make an appointment with someone to have some tests done and get it maintained since it is chronic and I will probably never get rid of the issue.
Tonight we had a nice night though, we all ate dinner together and then the kids watched some cartoons and colored while dinner was cleaned up. Then after that they took showers and Mckenzee came downstairs with me to watch Beauty and the Beast and Andrew watched Iron Man 2 with DJ.
They loved the movies so much that they had to bring them back to their rooms and wanted to put them in as their "nighttime" movies! They even loved the cupcakes they each had and they drank ALL of the milk they were given (and it wasn't even chocolate)!
On another note I am enjoying this fall weather so far, and I am hoping that it stays just as gorgeous for tomorrow and Sunday as well. This Sunday we are supposed to be going to get pumpkins with the kids! We have been going for the last four years and I have taken pics of the kids every time and this year will be no different I am hoping to continue the tradition as long as I can, plus it is cool to see how they each change from year to year!
Check out these pics from the last few years:

Well I am off to bed now I have to keep three kids busy and out of trouble tomorrow! Haley will be visiting for a bit and I am sure if the weather is good and I have plenty of crayons, ideas, and memory on my camera to catch a fun day!
Later my faithful readers!

Autumn is Here!
Today was not a bad day, the cool air, our fall clothes, and pumpkins!
The kids had fun at Hart's Greenhouse Fall Festival. The each picked their own little mini pumpkins and played in an area all filled with hay!
I spent some time going around looking at all the beautiful mums they had, my favorite had yellow centers with red around the edges! Mckenzee liked the yellow ones and the purple ones that had a frequent winged friend visiting it!
They also entered some pictures into a coloring contest and went through a spooky "haunted" tunnel! They liked it so much they did it a second time!
They wanted to get BIG pumpkins but I told them they had to wait until next weekend when we go to the pumpkin patch to pick them with my mother and the rest of the clan!
They went through a little hay maze, at first Andy went the wrong way, I think mostly because he wanted to crawl through the tunnel of hay but that was okay because everyone followed him and it was fun for them all!
They then enjoyed some apples picked at a local orchard and some freshly made ice cream made from cows that were just milked three days ago!
They visited with some kittens from Kitty Harbor, Inc that were looking for homes. Unfortunately we cannot get a kitten at this time but I told the kids that when they get a little bigger and we move THEN maybe we can get a kitten! I would love to have another little black and white kitten but I would also like a puppy and a few millions dollars to so I am just a dreamer!
Once we were pretty much done we took some pictures with some funny cutouts. I got each of the kids in all three of the cutouts, plus some of DJ in them as well!
Not a bad day so far what can I say. Tonight the in-laws are out for the night and we are having some friends over to play some games and share some laughs. Should be fun!
More later my faithfuls!
On a side note, this picture of Kenzee with the Buddha is probably my favorite of the day !

Fairytale Learning : Mckenzee's First Lessons - "Princess Day"
I am officially logging today as Mckenzee's first day of learning! We decided to call it "Princess Day" and therefore the line of lessons written about it will all have a Fairytale theme!
Once all the boys had left for their day of fun it was time for Miss Mckenzee and me to get started on some learning fun. We started by playing a counting game with Kai-Lan where we both had the chance to catch beautiful butterflies. Mckenzee caught 5 more than I did, making her total 26 and mine only 21. Then we had a listening lesson with Ye-ye and danced with him like he told us to. I explained to Kenzee that listening was very important if we wanted to go to school because that is one way that we learn! After all the laughing and fun dancing Kenzee said she wanted to rest so we decided to watch an episode of WordWorld which is quickly becoming one of her favorite shows.
Today's episode had her favorite character as the star of the show! Duck was getting ready to play baseball with his friends but something was missing. He needed a BAT and in order to get a bat he had to BUILD A WORD! Mckenzee loves to build a word so now I am proud to say she knows how to! She knows how to spell bat and that a bat is what the players use to hit the baseball before they run around the bases all the way to get points. When Kenzee asked me how we count points and what they were I was presented with another teaching opportunity!
Since I had to make brownies for tonight's family get together, I decided to have her help me out. First we read the instructions and she had to "listen", then we had to gather our ingredients. She helped me get the big bowl and the spoon, then she got out the oil and the eggs. She then helped me count out four eggs and even helped me crack them! She was very proud of herself. Then we counted all the way to fifty while stirring everything together in the big bowl! She told me they were "Princess Brownies" and we will be having them with special magic drinks later! (We are making Root Beer Floats tonight too)
After the brownies were done cooking we came upstairs and made some crafts, we assembled a homemade wand and crown which she loved! After making up a story about how the beautiful princess spent her first day at school, it was time to practice some letters!

She did a great job at practicing her A's, B's, and C's I am so proud! This teaching-learning adventure is off to a great start and I am very happy!

School Blues
I admit it I am suffering from some school blues! For a few different reasons: One because my little boy started the first grade this year, and two because my little princess is so smart it makes me proud! Now why should either of these things make me sad you ask, well the answer is quite simple, THEY ARE GROWING UP TOO FAST! Don't get me wrong, I know kids grow up and move on with their lives but I love them so much that I don't want them to grow up too fast and leave me before I am ready!
Now another thing that makes me a little sad is that Andy goes to school in Griswold and I live in Norwich and because of the custody arrangement between me and his father I only get to bring him to school once a week and cannot be as involved in his education as I would like since he only has homework Monday thru Thursday. Andy and I signed his Homework Hall of Fame commitment and he is worried that I won't be able to help him become a Hall-of-Famer if I cannot be there every night to help him. I told him if he wanted he could call me any night he was doing his homework and I would help him as much as I could over the phone. I do get to help him in person on Thursday nights but I really wish I could be there every night! I hate not having him with me all the time. It is hard to raise a child who has two very different parents who have very different parenting styles. You can tell it is hard on Andy as well. His father is more laid back buddy-buddy with him whereas I am more structured and scheduled! It can be frustrating the first day he comes back to me after being at his father's but we try our best!
With Mckenzee the feelings are a little bit different. I am frustrated that the potty thing is taking us so long to do but with the different schedules we all have it is hard to be consistent. She really wants to go to school like her big brother and her cousins. She talks about it all the time and I think she understands that she needs to be going on the potty all the time but it is hard for her to take when we bring Andy to school on Fridays and she can't go with him. But I guess that is where me helping her learn things now comes in handy. She will have a bit of a head start when I can finally get her in.
More about that adventure later!
More about that adventure later!

A Little Pain...A Little Worry
A little of this a little of that and the day goes on and on and on! I spend some time thinking about my life, it's direction, and my part in it! Lately I find myself wishing for more, more money, more time, more sleep!
Oh well what do you do? I can sit and dream or I can take what life is gonna throw at me and do my best to make it all worthwhile.
More Later!

I Need A Clone
Yes you are reading that right, I NEED a clone! I want to do so many things every day but with a lack of sleep, some health issues, and a mind that likes to race, it is hard to find the time to do all I wish I could! I even would like to maybe have at least two clones. I even know what I would have each clone do.
One clone would go to work, she would continue to help out my mother at her shop and keep looking for some other full or part time employment. She would be able to work every day of the week and bring in enough money so that we would become more financially stable.
Clone number two would spend time exploring herself both artistically and spiritually. She would complete all art projects, for self and others, as well as go back to school and get a degree of a sort. There are a few types of degrees I would like to have so there would be some options.
Now while the clones are busy doing those things I would spend my time being a homemaker. I would make meals and other fun foods, I would play with the kids, and I would make sure the house stayed orderly and clean. I would make sure my children's lives are full of learning, excitement, and new experiences. I would be the ultimate mom, making sure I made it to PTO meetings, bake sales, dance classes, football practice and all the things that my children would want to do!
Don't worry I know that I am not going to EVER be cloned but isn't it fun to think about? You know that you have thought about it at some point in time as well. Every parent as well as those without children have fantasized about what they would spend their time doing if they had a clone to do the things they either don't want to or have no time for! As it is I would like to share the feelings and the memories that the Clones make should something happen to them as well so that I would not be lost with them absent. Oh and maybe find myself a third clone so that they can spend all their time taking pictures of EVERYTHING so that I do not miss a moment!
Wow what a dream life right?!
Thanks for reading!

The Future
I will admit it...I think I would love to have another baby. I know now is not the ideal time, due to financial, geographical, and physical issues, but I wouldn't be totally upset if I happened to conceive at this time. In fact I would probably be very excited since a recent health issue made me think that maybe another baby was not ever going to be possible. However I am not currently trying to get pregnant or anything like that I am just not gonna freak out if I happen to get pregnant. Which is probably way more than I can say for those around me when/if it happens.
Now lately I have been wondering what it would feel like to be pregnant again. This time I would have to explain to Mckenzee about how a new brother/sister would be coming into the family. Last time it was just little Andy who was turning three the month before little Mckenzee was born. Mckenzee now turns three next month. I do not know how she would react to it. I worry that maybe she would not be receptive and maybe be angry about not being the littlest anymore but there is just no telling. I guess I will burn that bridge when/if I come to it! Honestly if it wasn't for the constant breast pain, knee issues, and problems with my monthly I wouldn't even be thinking about another child, but it seems that some of these issues are clearing up and I am wondering if it is because I AM pregnant of just good luck!
I would love to have another little girl too, I think Mckenzee would love her so much it might make Andy jealous! My little princess is all girl with not so girly tendencies. She knows how to get all dressed up and like her hair all combed and made "pretty" and will still go jump in the nearest mud puddle, but I think it would be great for her to have a little sister to play tea parties with and sing and dance with, and dress up with! I would even want them to have the same pretty blue eyes and dimples as she has. They would probably be fast friends once the baby grows big enough for Mckenzee to play with! Then again the total opposite could happen, she could hate the new baby too!
You know what the saddest part of this whole idea is...DJ and I have already agreed on the next girl baby's name. She will be called Emylee Rose. However if I ended up getting pregnant with a boy the name is still in a bit of an issue since I like the name Jakob and DJ likes the name Korbyn, maybe it is destined that I will have a girl so we do not have to worry about fighting about the baby's names!
Well either way this is not an issue right now because at this time I am not pregnant, or rather it is way to early to tell and I know that if I am I am going to have some hellfire to pay with some people around me...I am only a little scared!

Baking to Exhaustion
Well today was an interesting day to say the least. The so called "storm" was nothing but humidity and rain, followed by more rain! However today, for the first time, I actually helped my mother make pork pies! Now come tomorrow morning my children and I are going to be having eggs and pork pie for breakfast. Pork pies in my family mean it is almost holiday time and that means it is almost pumpkin picking time and carving time and yummy baking time etc etc! The only real problem we had making them was my own klutzy-ness. See as I was pulling the last one out (they were in flimsy cheap foil pans by the way) I sort of dropped about half of the pie back into the oven because the pan decided while I was holding it, to fold in half! I was a little upset at that point!
See I wouldn't have been quite as dramatic had I not been having a bit of a tiring day to begin with. I was so worried about getting Andy to school on time that I was awake every hour on the hour checking the time, therefore not enough sleep at all.
Then I had a very cranky Mckenzee who was not overly fond of the whole up and out of the house early concept! Once I got some yummy yogurt in her she was a little better and my mom and I were able to get a good amount of the pies done while Andy was in school. But then since the whole of CT thought the storm was gonna be so bad, we had to go pick him up early and that put a stop to some of our baking for a bit. Then we picked up Andy and some more crusts and came back to whip out five more pies and some yummy festival rolls! They came out awesome! Then once the kids were together they spent the better part of the night getting on each other's nerves! Even five minutes they had to be pulled apart and told to knock it off! Ugh!
Needless to say I was stoked when bedtime came, so after having a yummy Shepard's pie dinner *Andy's Fave* and some chocolate pudding! The kids watched Astroboy with DJ and then when Mckenzee started to fall asleep she was put to bed with her little lamb and was almost out cold by the time I left her bedroom! Andy made it all the way through the movie then was given hugs and kisses, tucked in and looked like HE was going to pass out quick as well!
So now they are all asleep in their beds, I am ready to pass out here at the keyboard but I felt the need to update a little at least since it has been a few days and today was a weird one! I am going to tell you more tomorrow when I have recovered a little from today!
Thank you all my faithfuls!

Andy's 6th Birthday Shindig!
Today we had Andy's big birthday shindig! I think he had a total blast too. He loved all the presents everyone gave him, he pigged out on all kinds of delicious food, and played his tushy off! Now he is all tuckered out and in bed after a nice shower and some kisses!
His little sister had an on and off day, one second she was a great one to play with, then the next you wanted to hold your head and say "where is the whine off switch?". She had a good day though in general and the rooms that they have are not quite as bad as I had expected them to be! Of course the missing nightlite is a little bothersome but I will let that go for now I am sure I will find it either tomorrow or Thursday when I go to look for it!
All in all I think it was a pretty good day. Andy got a lot of supplies to help both his schoolwork and his creativity, as well as just for fun and practical! I think Mckenzee loved his balloons a little more than he did though because all she wanted to do was play with them like all day/night, I bet if I had told her she could have slept with them she would have! Most of his things made it to his room tonight the others will find there way up tomorrow. I am really glad that he liked the new carpets and sheet set he said they feel "real real nice Mama". That made me laugh!
During one of the breaks in rain, the kids were able to go outside and play some limbo with their Uncle Pa and Gramma! They all did pretty good! Then they all got nice and dirty playing in the mud before yet again the sky opened up and poured out that rain! After some outside play it was time to get the food going and even though the rain made it a little harder to do the "cooking out" part, we made due with baking some potatoes in the oven, cooking up some yummy yellow and green squash on the stove, and grilling up all the BBQ chicken and hot dogs outside *since the grill had a cover*.
The kids all filled their tummies then made their way upstairs to clean up the mess they had made earlier and get out the blankets and pillows for movie time! Then all but the youngest two watched Planet 51 while we cleaned up the downstairs and got it ready for present opening and cake!
Andy picked his own cake out this year and this year he had to have Transformers! He just love the darn things, the whole "converts from car to robot" thing is just too cool to him! Unfortunately he is not the best at the conversion which means poor DJ has to help him more often with them than he would like! We only ate about have the cake and as it was I was so busy helping out that I forgot to go to the bathroom and by the time I remembered and went I came back and they had put the rest of the cake away!
So needless to say I am thinking yummy cake for breakfast! *what it had eggs, flour, milk, and I am sure some kind of something that might be good for me?* Right?!
After all the cake goodness and the clean-up it was time for a couple games of Quelf (the best game ever)! We had a blast and I cannot wait until the next time we get to play! It can be a little confusing at first but boy is it addicting!
Well my wonderful husband has called it a night since he has to work tomorrow and since I am soooooo darn tired after all that I have been through this week I should too!
Goodnight my faithfuls! More tomorrow!

Oreo Milkshakes and Excitement
My son turned six this week, and now tomorrow is his big birthday shindig! He is so excited (as most kids would be) to have cake and presents and swimming if the rain can hold out! If not then we move the whole thing here where the kids will tear apart their rooms playing with their cousins and I will try to hold together the last bit of sanity while they do so!
That is all ok though because I will have my family here, plenty of food, and plenty of conversation to keep me busy no matter what we end up doing. In the morning I will go on a mad man hunt for my children's and my bathing suits, towels, and sand toys. I am praying for a sunny day so that the kids can enjoy what may be the last time we can go swimming before school starts.
Either way I am hoping that Andy has a great day. I am pretty sure he will though since presents always seem to make my day better no matter how much it sucks. Well I must turn in now and get my beauty rest since it is up early to get out of the house on time! I will post pics and highlights tomorrow!
Goodnight my faithfuls!
Like Molasses in Summer
Saturday...it seems to be lasting forever today which is honestly unusual for this day. The kids are pretty well behaved, they even cleaned up their rooms without too much trouble and everything. Maybe there is a full moon or we are living in the twilight zone or something I do not know. Maybe it is just because I feel tired and just overall unwell. Either way this entry is short and sweet because I need to rest my eyes for a few minutes before it is time to finish washing the potatoes for tomorrow and make dinner. I will write more later if I can.
Thank you faithfuls!

One Day at a Time
I just have to remember that...to take it one day at a time!
Well I am glad the day is over...Andy liked his presents and tomorrow he, Dessiree, Haley and Mckenzee will be making the upstairs look very nice. I got him some new emerald green rugs for his room, super soft sheets, some games and some crafts and he loved them...but his favorite was the Iron Man he got from DJ! Now that wouldn't be surprising if it wasn't a toy from a happy meal! I guess you can never tell with kids...they are happy with the little things sometimes. Small miracles happen in their lives everyday, I bet if we walked a mile or two in a child's pair of shoes :
1. Our feet would hurt lol
2. We would discover thrilling things that we lost with adulthood
3. We could make massive messes when we eat/play/etc. and no one would be appalled lol
I love my kids so much. I love spending time with them, but when I feel so sick and hurt it is hard not to get snippy and make them not want to be around me! I hope I get better soon...I rambled a little in this post so I will make up for it tomorrow. Sorry my faithfuls! Goodnight!

Fear and Time
I am the kind of person who tends to overbook myself and then I leave myself no time to do things I want to do. Then, when I do have time, all I want to do is rest. Now with the breast issue back I feel hopeless, I feel like every time I am up, something knocks me back down again! I do not have time to be laid up with any kind of illness much less an infection that could cause me to be admitted to a hospital! This is a bad time for me...this time of year is full of things that are important. Andrew's birthday was yesterday, Mckenzee's is next month on the 19th. Andrew starts school on the 30th, then before I know it it is going to be Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas as well as a few more birthdays too. I can say this though, if I end up in the hospital I am going to have them take out the breast. They told me the last time I was there that that may end up being the only way to keep the infection away. I don't care anymore. The doctor that I had last time severed a nerve and I have very limited feeling in that breast, I was also told I would probably not ever breast feed with it ever again. So they can take it, they can honestly do whatever it would take to make sure the infection stays away. Let's hope it does not come down to that though! I am trying my best not to focus on it but it is hard with the sharp pains whenever I move...hell even when I breathe!
On a slightly brighter note, the other problem I had has taken a hiatus, perhaps just to give my pain the forefront but I am not complaining that it is gone. However, since that problem is gone for now maybe it is time to try for another little one...I really want another one. I had a dream the other night that involved another little girl, I had named her Emylee Rose and she looked just like her big sister Mckenzee! She was so sweet and small and precious that I almost thought my dream was real...of course then my alarm went off and that was the end of that lol. Who knows it could happen someday! More later faithfuls!

Just Me and Her
Well last night Kenzee and I watched the first part of Tin Man, she didn't quite want to make it much further, the little one almost passed out covered in strawberry ice cream. So I cleaned her up and brushed her teeth and she picked out Mama Mia as her bedtime movie. Then I sat with her for a few minutes until I saw the heaviness of her eyes take over. I kissed her forehead and left the room, but just as I got to the door I heard her little voice, barely loud enough to hear, "I love you Mama!". Oh how my heart melted hearing that, I never do get tired of it either. I woke up this morning to her rubbing my cheek and telling me my new purple hair was "BEAUTIFUL!". See purple happens to be Kenzee's favorite color (which you can find out along with her other favorites at this time on her personal page!) Today was filled with building castles (inspired by our recent trip), coloring, and just taking and singing to each other. Just her and me. Her Aunt Jenn came over and cleaned our carpet and vacuumed our furniture and Miss Mckenzee got to help her, she even blew up a balloon for her (probably the highlight of the visit!). However all the fun tuckered her out and she fell asleep face down on my mother-in-laws bed watching Dora's Birthday Adventure. My little cutie! Well I should go wake her up and then I have some cleaning downstairs to do...dishes and such! Fun fun fun for me! Later all you faithfuls!
